It was a beautiful day for a car show! Hundreds came out for the Tampa Bay Racers Reunion NSRA Appreciation Day at Quail Hollow March 8th, 2014 The event included:

Pasco County Town Hall Meeting Explodes in Anger over toll Road Plan with Partner Involved with Bankrupt Project

... But the decision maker, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation is in charge of reviewing and approving the project. They call it the “Florida Express 54” and wants to be sure it has the support of the people of Pasco County before it hands over the keys to the project's backers a local engineer Gerald Stanley, a New York investment bank and OHL. A spokesperson for OHL, that had built nine toll roads for the Spanish Government that failed badly, said Friday that total debt associated with the nine bankrupt involved in the roads was $7.1 billion. It seems that traffic on the nine toll roads, most of which connect Madrid to outlying towns, has plunged from projections made by expert government traffic planners.

Once Upon a Time 2014 Cinderella Ball Benefiting Pasco County Schools

The Cinderella Ball is a black-tie optional fundraising dinner and auction for the Foundation and was held Saturday at Heritage Springs Golf & Country Club. Proceeds from this event benefit the many programs of the Pasco Education Foundation such as scholarships, creative teaching grants and recognition events for students and district employees. The event also promotes the Cinderella Project and Prince Charming Project, supporting students who may not otherwise be able to afford attire for their senior prom.

Estancia at Wiregrass is coming to Wesley Chapel

Wesley Chapel is going to have a brand new neighborhood come Spring. Standard Pacific Homes plans to call the new community it “Estancia at Wiregrass”. Estancia has 5,100 acres and will build a 1,181 home Community in the heart of the Wiregrass Ranch properties.

Chancey Road is approved for extension which will lead into the “Estancia at Wiregrass” development. In the future, Chancey will extend even further to connect to 56.Models will open May or June along with a 5,000 sq ft Amenity Center

The amenity center will have a Junior Olympic pool that can be sanctioned for meets if they desire in the future. It will have a Club room, Meeting room, Tennis courts, Basketball Courts and shaded areas for entertaining. Playgrounds are dispersed throughout the area. Walking/Biking/Skating trails will eventually lead/connect to Wiregrass Mall.

One of the men who helped bring the Ice Sports Forum to Brandon announced a plan Wednesday to build Florida's largest hockey and ice skating facility in Wesley Chapel.Gordie Zimmermann, one-time general manager of the Brandon facility, unveiled the $20 million proposal to Pasco's Tourist Development Council. The 150,000-square-foot sports facility would be built off Interstate 75 at the State Road 56 interchange and would have four full-sized rinks, including one Olympic-sized hockey rink.
