2nd Annual BBQ in the Park Rotary Club of San Antonio

The Rotary Club of San Antonio held their 2nd Annual BBQ in the Park earlier this month at the San Antonio City Park.  The BBQ was a family event full of fun and food open to the community. Formed in 2004, The Rotary Club is one of eight clubs in District 6950 located in East Pasco County, Florida.

Hot Days Cool Nights Open House at Copperstone Suites

Copperstone Executive Suites and Lorraine Lane of Lane Business Consulting invited all residents of Land O' Lakes, Lutz, Wesley Chapel, New Tampa, Odessa and Trinity to an Open House to meet the tenants and tour the suites at Copperstone.  An evening of fun, beer and wine, and delicious food provided by Pizza Villa, everyone enjoyed themselves and some went home with a raffle prize.  A.L. Saland Insurance, The Laker - Lutz News and RedRock Mortgage Florida were the generous sponsors that supported the event.

By Laura Kinsler Tribune Staff. Republican Mike Wells Jr. became the fourth commissioner in a row to win Pasco’s 4th district seat by ousting an incumbent. In the District 2 race, Mike Moore won the three-way Republican primary. The son of a popular politician, Wells capitalized on his family name and legacy to take more than two-thirds of the vote. He said the race was about leadership, and Henry Wilson hadn’t shown enough of it to warrant a second term. “I’ve worked really hard for this,” Wells said. “I’ve met with thousands of people over the last four months, and I’m going to continue doing that. Not just in my district — I’m going to be all over the county.”

Pasco County Republicans have chosen Mike Moore to face Democrat Erika Remsberg in the November 4 General Election for Pasco County Commissioner, District 2. Moore received 55% of the votes with Ken Littlefield receiving 28% and Bob Robertson earning 17%. Their vote totals were as follows,  Moore 12,080 votes, Littlefield 6,015 and Robertson 3,721.

It was a very special day for the team from iStyleXG salon in Lutz. We are located at 24406 State Road 54 Lutz, Fl. 33559 This was our 3rd annual back to school bash event. We went on location to the Cobb theaters in wesley chapel. We donated our time and were able to give Free haircuts to 97 children in just 2 hours !

Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce welcomes Smoothie King at VIP Party

The Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce welcomes its newest community and chamber member, Smoothie King of New Tampa.  During the grand opening, Smoothie King held a VIP Party where you received a free 20oz smoothie as a member.  The Smoothie King VIP Party was an over-the-top success thanks to their employees making smoothies for over two hours and the almost 300 people that attended.  Since Steve Kuhnau created the first Smoothie Bar in 1973, Smoothie King has grown to over 650 locations across three continents.

Wesley Chapel is proud to announce the Grand Opening of the new Walmart off SR 54.  The store will provide Wesley Chapel residents with low prices on a broad assortment of merchandise and offer Walmart's free Site to Store program, enabling customers to choose from nearly a million additional online items that can be ordered on Walmart.com and picked up at the Wesley Chapel store for free, often as quickly as the same day.  The new store employs approximately 300 full- and part-time associates. Store manager Stephanie White began her Walmart career in 1988 as an hourly cashier in Port Richey, Florida.

The Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce held their General Monthly Membership meeting on August 12th at Heritage Harbor Golf and Country Club with guest speaker Mike Fasano, Pasco County Tax Collector.  This meeting was sponsored by American Home Title of Land O' Lakes & Copperstone Executive Suites.  The Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce has a long tradition of community involvement and are often seen as a resource for visitors and those seeking information.  Chamber involvement in the past has resulted in better roads, safer neighborhoods, increased and improved recreational facilities, and new economic development projects that have benefitted businesses and citizens.

The Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce and the Trinity-Odessa Chamber of Commerce presented a Candidate Forum at the Keystone Community Church for the Pasco County Commission District 2 and the Pasco County School Board District 5. Questions were solicited from citizens and chamber members. The public was not be permitted to speak during the Forum, however were offered index cards to write questions to be given to the moderator to consider and ask as time permitted.
