The Lutz's Independence Day celebration took place on July 4^th and has become a tradition where candidates have been running for Guv'na for about 20 years. Lutz shows its hometown pride with this holiday celebration themed "Saluting Lutz Volunteer Fire Department." In addition to the Guv'na festivities, the day included a bake contest, a 5K race, a one-mile fun run, a flag raising ceremony, cake decorating contest and barbecue benefitting the Lutz Volunteer Fire Association. Community support includes members of the Woman’s Club, the Little Women of Lutz, The Civil Air Patrol, Boy Scout Troop 12, Hillsborough County Parks/Rec, and so much more. Suzin Buzas Carr passed the Lutz Guv’na sash down to Dr Cindy Perkins, Chiropractor/Owner of Back In Health Wellness Center, who was able to raise over $9500 which will be distributed among local schools and organizations.

The Pasco County Professional Fire Fighters won the Silver Spatula Award at the MDA Summer Camp last week. Starting with an incredible chicken -n- waffles breakfast, Local #4420 dressed as Marvel Superheroes. “I had one heck of a time with my brothers and sisters serving for the little heroes themselves at MDA camp”, said firefighter Kevin Hager of Land O Lakes. “It was a pleasure and I'm ecstatic I was a part of it. Truly a great thing to see, coming together for a good cause. Thank you everyone!”. The Muscular Dystrophy Association, known as MDA, is the world’s leading nonprofit health organization sponsoring research seeking the causes of and effective treatments for neuromuscular diseases. MDA research grants currently are supporting more than 250 projects worldwide.

Thousands came out for the 3rd Annual Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel Noon Rotary Freedom Festival and Fireworks Show to celebrate their love for the Community and our Country.
