The Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce hosted the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the newest Pasco County Tax Collector’s office off Wesley Chapel Boulevard. The Eye Care Professionals of Tampa Bay, LLC, located on S.R. 54 about a mile west of where it meets S.R. 56 (at Oak Grove Blvd. in Lutz), is growing to better serve patients not only in its local area, but in New Tampa and Wesley Chapel as well. Beginning July 21, the office will be open an extra day each week and an additional optometric physician will be seeing the patients that day. Rick Robinson, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale in 1999. He will begin seeing patients on Mondays, when the office previously had been closed.

Land O’ Lakes High cross country coach Kris Keppel is up for a national award recognizing his coaching.Keppel is one of 25 finalists for the Brooks 2014 Inspiring Coach of the Year Award. As of Thursday, he was in first place to win with more than 12,600 votes. Keppel, who has coached for 20 years, was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer last September and gets chemotherapy three weeks each month. Pasco County Opens a New Fire Rescue Station with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Pasco County Fire Rescue is pleased to announce the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Fire Rescue Station No. 30 located at 7951 Massachusetts Avenue, New Port Richey. Dedication ceremonies for the new 8,110 square foot facility were held on July 22. The ceremony included members of the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners, County Administrator, Fire Chief and other dignitaries. An open house for viewing the new fire station followed the dedication. “This new state-of-the-art facility will serve the citizens in this area for many years to come,†said Pasco Fire Chief, Scott Cassin. “
