Her two best players, Shantel Sweet and Simone Brown, notified Tyszko they both had come down with the stomach flu. Wachtel, 32, was Mitchell High’s coach the last two years, but was dismissed after last season. He was originally hired by current Gators principal Ric Mellin, who was at Mitchell before moving to Land O’ Lakes in 2009.
