The Pasco Education Foundation’s Cinderella’s Favorite Dessert at Culinary Arts Center, Land O’Lakes

It was hard just to look and not taste these wonderful concoctions that the student chefs were creating. Thirteen teams competed and were judged by six lucky judges who would determine the top three winners that will then have their desserts featured at the annual Cinderella Ball, a fundraiser for the Pasco Education Foundation. The students learn their craft at Culinary Arts Center in Land O’Lakes in an impressive kitchen, rivaling what you would find on the Food Network, but the students originated from Anclote, Wiregrass Ranch, Fivay and MTEC in New Port Richey. They explained their creations with humor and great thought; names like L’ Amour Vrai (True Love), Bippity Boppity Boo, and Princess Golden Mocha Layer Cake, with ingredients like pumpkin (for the carriage she rode in) and jeweled boxes of spun sugar. Pasco County culinary arts students competed for the title of “Cinderella’s Favorite sugar and of course, strawberries and chocolate, because I was told, “Cinderella likes strawberries and chocolateâ€. I must add, “Who doesn’t?â€
