The Habitat for Humanity of East Pasco County celebrated with a new home dedication with new Habitat homebuyers on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 3:00pm. The charitable House Sponsor was Jarrett Ford Dade City. Everyone came to dedicate the home and celebrate the hard work and perseverance of the Wenzel family. So many hands worked together to make this happen. Thanks to Jarrett Ford Dade City for sponsoring Sonja's home. Photos provided by Richard Riley.

About Habitat for Humanity:

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Locally Habitat for Humanity East Pasco was founded in Trilby, FL in 1994, in 2009 we merged with Central Pasco and now serve the entire county east of the Suncoast Parkway. In 2019 we celebrated our 25th year and 150th home dedication. Today we continue to build strength and stability in all of East & Central Pasco County.

Habitat works toward our vision in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.

Our principles:

  • Demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ.
  • Focus on shelter.
  • Advocate for affordable housing.
  • Promote dignity and hope.
  • Support sustainable and transformative development.

What We Do

Habitat for Humanity partners with people in Pasco County, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat Homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat Homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. Through the HFHI strategic plan, Habitat for Humanity will serve more people than ever before through decent and affordable housing.

Non-Proselytizing Policy

Habitat for Humanity and its affiliate organizations will not proselytize. Nor will Habitat work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with Habitat. This means that Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
