Sunrise Domestic & Sexual Violence Center 18th Annual Peace Breakfast at Wellness Center at Saint Leo University

The Sunrise of Pasco County Domestic & Sexual Violence Center held its 18th Annual Peace Breakfast on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 7:00am to 8:30am at the Wellness Center at Saint Leo University, 12338 Priory Cir, San Antonio, FL 33576.

This was a giving event in which a free breakfast was provided to all sponsors and attendees as they learned about Sunrise and the impact violence has on our community.

The keynote speaker was Alyssa Dudley: Alyssa Dudley is a survivor and the founder of "Change Her Story," an organization providing support to trauma survivors on the path towards spiritual, emotional, and economic freedom. Alyssa uses this platform to share her artistic gifts and uplift others with the program "Lyssa's Loving Hand." Motivation to create this space stemmed from her own experiences with domestic violence. In 2013, Alyssa was shot three times by her ex-boyfriend; twice in the head and once in the abdomen. After multiple surgeries and weeks of daily, intensive therapy, Alyssa regained her ability to walk, speak, and thrive. Today, Alyssa uses her platform to teach and inspire.
