Pasco's Professional Firefighters Local 4420 Endorses First Responder Troy Stevenson for Pasco County Commission District 2

Pasco's Professional Firefighters Local 4420 endorses first responder Troy Stevenson for Pasco County Commission District 2

Last week, Pasco's Professional Firefighters Local 4420, announced the endorsement of their fellow First Responder Troy Stevenson for Pasco County Commission District 2. This endorsement comes at a time where Pasco County is experiencing a multitude of Public Safety issues, including incredibly long response times & lack of Fire Department & law Enforcement infrastructure, leaving the county less safe than many other parts of the state. The next County Commission will be tasked with solving these and other safety issues in the rapidly growing Pasco County.

"Troy has responded to hurricanes and natural disasters around the country. He knows firsthand the difficulties stress we and our families go through every day. FIREPAC Political Activism Coordinator Robert Fuerst said. "We need his leadership on the County Commission. Troy has made public safety central to his campaign. Given all the problems this county is having with Public Safety issues, Pasco needs Troy on the County Commission. He will help ensure Pasco remains a safe place to live.”

''We feel he is the best qualified in his race to address and correct the multi faceted issues Public Safety and the people of Pasco County are facing. After years of being understaffed, Pasco County is at a tipping point. Change needs to take place at the County Commission if we want to keep Pasco safe. Who will be better at fixing our Public Safety problems here in Pasco, than actual first responders?" Fuerst said.

Pasco's Professional Firefighter’s IAFF Local 4420 represents approximately 650 career firefighters. IAFF Local 4420 serves the community in various ways: through their charity group they support community charity groups, public education related to safety issues, and educating the public regarding public safety standards & deficiencies.

Join us in our mission of providing premier and quality care to all who come to work, live, and visit Pasco County by getting out to vote on August 23!
