PDF VersionThe Friendly KIAFest 2022 was held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Sims Park in historic downtown New Port Richey.
The Friendly KIA Fest returned, and this year’s event featured delicious food, ice cold beer and wine, an incredible music line-up, and a spectacular fireworks display. Opening band 60 West took the stage at 5 pm followed by local favorites Jam Jones, then the King of Pop, America’s best Michael Jackson tribute took the stage at 8:30. The spectacular fireworks show popped off at dark, then the King of Pop returned for another incredible hour. The event was “family friendly” with festival style seating so you were able to bring your chairs and blankets.
And of course, you were encouraged to come into downtown before and after to hang out in downtown and check out the shops, restaurants, breweries, bars, and other businesses while you were there. Photos were provided by J David Wright.

5-6:30pm: 60 West
6:45-8:15pm: Jam Jones
8:30-9:00pm: The Ultimate King of Pop Show: Michael Jackson Tribute Band
9:00-9:30pm: FIREWORKS
9:30- 10:30pm: The Ultimate King of Pop Show: Michael Jackson Tribute Band finale
11pm: Sims Park closing
