Experience the New Grove Theater, Bistro & Entertainment, “Movie Theater of the Future” at the Grove’s in Wesley Chapel, opening Friday at 4 pm

Experience the brand new Grove Theater, Bistro & Entertainment. Featuring reclining seats, bistro restaurant, sushi bar, in-movie dining, Cycle Cinema, Side Splitter's Comedy Club, Acting Studio, Kids Play Place, massive arcade, full bar, and more! The latest renovated and reimagined element of the Grove at Wesley Chapel opens to the public Friday.

Dubbed the “movie theater of the future,” the Grove Theater, Bistro and Entertainment offers patrons “a movie-going experience unlike any other, according to a press release from the property’s ownership group Mishorim Gold Properties. “The new Grove Theater, Bistro and Entertainment will become the hub of family fun,” Mark Gold, developer and landlord of the Grove at Wesley Chapel, stated in the press release. “With something for everyone, this complex will bring new life and opportunities to the Wesley Chapel community.”

The two-story complex’s 88,000 square foot space has been transformed into a smorgasbord of entertainment. Twelve screening rooms within the theater are equipped with fully reclining seats. An upscale bistro restaurant features in movie dining, a sushi bar and a full bar. Cycle Cinema blends spin classes led by an instructor “to movie-theater pounding music and cool visuals on the screen,” the press release states. The arcade – a staple feature at theaters for decades – is stepped up a notch at the Grove, with more than 40 gaming options. A Side Splitters Comedy Club will open on theater grounds and host nationally touring stand-up comics. Parents will be able to catch a movie while their children hang out at the supervised Kids Play Place. Also included is a stage for live acting performances, such as plays and musicals. This studio will be utilized for acting classes for children and adults, as well.

With the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting everyday life, the Grove Theater, Bistro and Entertainment opens with safety at the forefront, according to the press release.

Safety features include automatic temperature checks at the entrance, UV light sanitation technology, fog machines to disinfect theaters between showings, hand sanitizer stations throughout the complex, a requirement for guests to wear face coverings, and limited capacity in theaters where seats are assigned checkerboard style to allow for social distancing.

The Grove Theater, Bistro and Entertainment will be open from 4-9:30 p.m., Friday-Sunday. Tickets can be reserved at grovetheater.com.
