Pasco County Schools Will be Closed Thursday as Tropical Storm Eta impacts Pasco County and Tampa Bay Coast

School is canceled on Thursday and all district offices are closed. PLACE and STAR Academy will also be closed on Thursday. All events and activities are canceled. At this time, the county expects school to be in session on Friday. Keiser University's New Port Richey campus will be closed Thursday, Nov. 12.

* Pasco County EOC UPDATE

* Residents urged to stay home and shelter in place; report damage online. Pasco County's Department of Emergency Management is urging residents to stay home and shelter in place Wednesday night as Eta moves onshore. Only leave if you have to, and do not drive or walk through floodwaters. The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is operating with limited staffing overnight to monitor conditions and respond to issues, as necessary. Emergency crews will be responding to calls for service throughout the night. If you have an emergency, please call 911.

Pasco County Customer Service will close Wednesday at 8 p.m. and reopen for regular business hours Thursday, November 12 at 8 a.m.

All Pasco County Government Offices and services will be open for regular business hours Thursday, November 12 with the following exceptions:

* All Pasco County Parks will be open Thursday; however, some openings could be delayed due to storm debris clean-up efforts.

* Pasco County Libraries will open Thursday at noon.

* Pasco County Public Transportation services are expected to resume Thursday, as long as road conditions are safe to do so.

* Pasco County Schools will be closed Thursday, November 12 and are expected to reopen Friday, November 13.

* Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller will be closed Thursday, November 12.

SANDBAGS: Pasco County has self-serve sandbag stations open 24 hours to help protect your property from potential flooding. Sand and bags are available at the following locations:
  • Pasco County Public Works (C-Barn): 30908 Warder Road, San Antonio
  • Magnolia Valley Golf Course: 7223 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey
  • Pasco Fire Rescue Station 17: 2951 Seven Springs Blvd., New Port Richey
  • Veterans Memorial Park: 14333 Hicks Road, Hudson
  • Wesley Chapel Park: 7727 Boyette Road, Wesley Chapel
  • Land O’ Lakes Recreation Center: 3032 Collier Parkway, Land O’ Lakes
  • Pasco County Fire Station #24: 14317 4th Street, Dade City

Note: Sandbag locations are open 24 hours to Pasco County residents; however, sand will only be restocked between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. You should bring a shovel and be prepared to fill your own sandbags.
