The 12th Annual RAP River Run 2019 was held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Sims Park, 6341 Sims Ln, New Port Richey, Florida 34652. The races included: 10K, 5K Run/Walk, and Kid's Adventure Run with Obstacle Course (10 and under ages)
Run along the shady river on USATF Certified Courses. All finishers received: a custom medal, a colorful tech shirt, a goody bag, and a great post-race party. Photos provided by J David Wright.
The 12th Annual RAP River Run was a 5K, 10K, and Kid's Adventure Run benefiting the Runaway Alternatives Project (RAP) House located in New Port Richey serving youths ages 10-17 who are runaway, homeless or in need of a short- term out of home respite placement for any reason. The RAP House also accepts youth who are in need of an emergency shelter placement due to abuse. The event is held annually at Sims Park in New Port Richey and features a Kid's Obstacle Course Run for ages 10 and Under.
