Water-Cycle Splash Pad Ground Breaking Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park, in Hudson by J David Wright

Investigation Station and Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources teamed up to break ground on a new Water-Cycle Splash Pad on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, in Hudson. Date for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be announced soon. Photos provided by J David Wright.

Investigation Station has been in Pasco County since 2005 and is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. It works with local businesses and individuals to create hands-on, learning opportunities. The museum provides free, stimulating, interactive, educational exhibits for children. There is From the Sun to Pluto, a one-mile scaled model of the solar system, located in Starkey Park, on the bicycle path, located closest to shelter #5. There is a mobile STEM exhibit called Kidstruction, that travels around the Pasco County Library System. It consists of 100s of Keva planks, construction ideas, a wrecking ball and catapult for children to create, destroy and create again.

The museum's newest project is to create an educational splash pad at the Veterans Memorial Park in Hudson. A splash pad is a series of fountains and water features for children and the young at heart. The water cycle will be featured through the splash pad's features and a mural.
