They were all beautiful performances from elite figure skaters including a few from AdventHealth Center Ice.

“Today was the final day of the Sunshine State Games Figure Skating Championships! Congratulations to everyone who won awards and medals and thank you Florida Sports Foundation, Florida's Sports Coast, and RinkSide Sports for making this a successful event 2 years in a row! We are very excited to say that we had several of our very own Elite Figure Skaters receive medals and awards!” - AdventHealth Center Ice.

AdventHealth Center Ice, (AHCI) is pleased to announce the “Rebirth” of the Sunshine State Games Hockey Tournament. In 2018, AHCI hosted our first SSG Figure Skating event and discussed together with The Florida Sports Foundation (FSF) the possibility of a restart on the Hockey format, which has been idle for the past 15 years.

This June 7th - 9th 2019, AHCI will host 12 Florida youth hockey teams in the rebirth of the Sunshine State Games Hockey Tournament, presented by Florida Sports Foundation.

Recently, Pasco County launched a rebrand as the “Florida Sports Coast,” part of which was largely due to the success of AHCI events and the tourism generated in Pasco County. Florida Sports Coast has been a huge supporter of this initiative, uniting both FSF and AHCI. With AHCI being a world class facility, supporting 5 sheets of ice under one roof and the largest ice rink complex in the south USA, hockey growth has been tremendous since opening in 2017. AHCI has become a leader in the country hosting over 32 major ice related events per year.

AHCI and FSF have a goal “Lets Grow.” This applies to not only the SSG Hockey Tournament in future years, but also to youth/adult sports in general. Continuing to provide tournaments and opportunities for all Youth and Adult participants will bring Florida communities together. To learn more, visit: http://www.floridahospitalcenterice.com/
