Groundbreaking Ceremony for Pasco County’s New Instructional Performing Arts Center, in Wesley Chapel

The new Instructional Performing Arts Center (IPAC) will provide a venue you for educational opportunities and entertainment. This beautiful asset to our community, to be built adjacent to the Cypress Creek Middle /High school site in Wesley Chapel, is slated to open in the fall of 2020. The IPAC facility will offer community event space and a performing arts space. Educational opportunities for a Pasco Hernando State College students, dual enrollment, and the future PHSC students currently attending local middle and high schools, will be available through a variety of programs in theater, dance, vocal, instrumental, multimedia technology and digital design

The IPAC will also offer the community a brand-new performing arts venue, which will attract regional and national festivals and performing arts event. This collaboration effort between PHSC and the Pasco County School District seeks to increase educational programs, economic development and provide our community with a state-of-the-art entertainment venue. Kevin O'Farrell, Ph.D. PHSC Provost Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch and Robin Schneider, Chair, PHSC District Board of Trustees welcomed the attendees to the Groundbreaking ceremonies.

A great student performance was given by the Cypress Creek Conservatory of Music. Timothy L. Beard Ph.D. PHSC President and Ray Gadd, Deputy Superintendent of Schools, Pasco's County School District and PHSC District Board of Trustees, gave their vision of the partnership between the Middle / High Schools with a State College. Stanley M. Giannet, P.h.D. PHSC Vice President of Academic Affairs and Faculty Development / College Provost and Hope Allen President and CEO of North Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce spoke to the students and the community focus. Betty-Ann King and Mackenzie Kubiak PHSC Students spoke to the relationship between students, the Education Institutions and the Arts.
