Mr. Lorei was introduced a packed house where he discussed the future of broadcast journalism versus print media and the integrity of both forms of journalism. In particular, he discussed this coverage in the Tampa Bay area, that the cable channels have the advantages over broadcast channels as there are very few time constraints, you can't present the full story in a minute or two. However many new stations are biased and presented one sided view of the issue there should be more unbiased multi-faceted presentation of issues similar to that presented in Florida this week to show that Mr. Lorei hosts’. He went on to discuss the funding of public broadcasting and spoke about American the public airwaves versus the European model of selling the airwaves. Fundraising is always a problem and independent source of funding are badly needed. A vigorous question and answer session followed. The audience was told that this is the time for everyone to call media outlets and give me a more comprehensive coverage of the upcoming republican convention.
