Representative Danny Burgess for State House, District 38 and Congressman Gus Bilirakis held a joint rally at Sunrise Eatery, 5963 Gall Blvd., Zephyrhills, Florida as their campaigns both wound down heading twords Election day. Representative Danny Burgess and Congressman Gus Bilirakis exchanged campaign T Shirts because teamwork and coordination is so important between our State capital and our Nations capital to our community. About Representative Danny Burgess:

Danny Burgess Jr. was born and raised in Zephyrhills. He is an East Pasco native and attended Pasco County public schools. Danny served as Mayor of Zephyrhills, is a Captain in the United States Army Reserve as a Judge Advocate and is a practicing attorney at Johnson, Auvil, Pratico & Chane, P.A., located in Dade City.

Danny graduated from the University of South Florida in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.

While a freshman in college, Danny was elected to the Zephyrhills City Council at the age of 18, making him the youngest elected official in the State of Florida. Danny was subsequently re-elected in 2007 and served as Council President in 2008 before resigning his office to attend law school at Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida. His hard work and dedication paid off in 2011 when Danny received his Juris Doctor from Barry.

Danny was elected Mayor of the City of Zephyrhills in 2013, becoming the youngest mayor in the City’s history at the age of 26.

Danny is married to Courtney Burgess, originally of Lithia, Florida, and they have a newborn daughter, Adeline Belle. Danny has attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, located in Zephyrhills, his entire life and is actively involved in various community organizations and charities.
