The Rotary Club of Land O’Lakes held its weekly meeting on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Copperstone Executive Suites, located at 3632 Land O' Lakes Blvd, Land O Lakes, FL 34639. The Keynote Speaker for the meeting was Senator Wilton Simpson. Senator Wilton Simpson discussed the state of Florida and what’s on the horizon for the Sunshine State.
About Senator Wilton Simpson:
Senator Wilton Simpson lives in Trilby, FL with his wife Kathryn and his son Wilton Jr. His daughter Lauran is newlywed and works as a school teacher for Pasco County Schools. Senator Simpson is an entrepreneur and a hard-working business leader. He is the head of Simpson Environmental Services, Inc., and operations Simpson Farms, Inc., an egg-laying operation based in Trilby that is home to over one million chickens that supply eggs for Florida’s families through supermarkets throughout the state. He is a founding board member of Florida Traditions Bank, and has served on the Pasco-Hernando Community College District Board of Trustees, Pasco County Fair Association, Pasco County Farm Bureau, and is a past Chair of the Pasco Economic Development Council. He is a 2002 graduate of Leadership Pasco. He supports and works with many non-profit organizations throughout the community.
