Sgt. William Lawless, Retired after 32 ½ Years of Dedicated Service to the Citizens of Pasco County and Pasco Sheriff’s Office.

Congratulations to Sgt. William Lawless, who retired after 32 ½ years of dedicated service to the citizens of Pasco County. Sgt. Lawless grew up in Pasco and during his time at the Sheriff’s Office has become a mentor to many people. Wishing him a happy and wonderful retirement! Sgt. Lawless has received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Saint Leo University and has served Pasco County Sheriff’s Department at various levels such as a SWAT Team Leader and Trainer, Burglary Detective, Homicide Detective, Street Crimes Unit Supervisor, Fugitive Warrants Unit Supervisor, Patrol Sergeant and at his retirement, Detective Sergeant. Lawless has also served as Past President at Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 29.

Pastor Bert Ferguson of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Palm Harbor, Florida said “Yes, Bill is "Top Notch!" Highly Educated in Local, State, National and International Law Enforcement. If you need someone to resolve a problem, domestic or foreign, he is your man. I have worked right along beside him and you cannot find a better "Law Enforcement Officer" within the United States. This guy is "READY" for any type of situation. He is the only "Backup" you will need in any situation. I worked alongside him for 20 years and he Never let me down. His character, personality, dependability and loyalty are "Unquestionable!"
