PLEASE BE ADVISED U.S. 41 Closing Begins Next Week | Motorists will not be able to access U.S. 41 in the area near Crenshaw Lake Road for about two weeks.
Motorists who use U.S. 41 in Lutz to get around are going to want to avoid the area near Crenshaw Lake Road for a few weeks.
Starting Monday, March 14 the US 41 will be closed at the railroad crossing north of Crenshaw Lake Road so CSX can replace the rails and crossing, the Florida Department of Transportation has announced. The work is expected to take two weeks, weather permitting.
“Motorists will be detoured around the work zone using Florida Avenue, Bearss Avenue and Dale Mabry Highway,†the state announced Wednesday.
While motorists will not be able to cross the tracks during the two-week period, access to Lutz Preparatory School and Lakeside Drive will be maintained, the state said.
Motorists can expect to see message boards and detour signs in the area.
