LifeChoices Women's Care Benefit Dinner in Lutz / Land O'Lakes
Nearly 300 friends of LifeChoices Women's Care, a pregnancy resource clinic in Lutz, gathered for the annual fundraising benefit dinner. This year's dinner, Light of Hope, was held on Tuesday, Feb. 26th at the Bethany Center. A social hour on the veranda followed by a full course dinner. During the social hour guests were introduced to all of the facets of the ministry including ultrasound, Women of Worth Earn While You Learn program, and our post abortive healing ministry. After dinner, the program included a brief talk by Executive Director, Ana Hidalgo Stooks on the accomplishments of 2012 and the goals for 2013. Among those accomplishments, LifeChoices Women's Care helped 123 women considering abortion to choose life for their babies. Nearly 700 women participated in their Women of Worth Earn While You Learn program. A four minute client testimony who participated in the post abortive healing ministry was shown to the guests. After Stooks' talk, keynote speaker Kirk Walden of Tennessee spoke on the need to support ministries on the front line like LifeChoices Women's Care. The goal of the evening was to raise $90,000. Nearly $100,000 was raised from the generous contributions/pledges.
