Second Annual Open House for Pasco County Mosquito Control District for the Prevention and Control of Mosquitoes and Mosquito-borne Diseases
Pasco County Mosquito Control District (PCMCD) uses what is called an Integrated Mosquito Management (IMM) plan that is scientifically based and environmentally friendly to control mosquito populations in the most effective manner. PCMCD is happy to announce the success of our Second Annual Open House event that was held Saturday, March 19, 2022. PCMCD had over 30 booths and around 400 visitors.
We have started holding this event annually on District property with the goal that citizens come out and get a better understanding of all the elements used to control mosquito populations. The Public Education department opens the annual event up to vendors, district partners, and interactive booths so there is plenty to do for the whole family. Event entry and vendor participation are both free. We encourage citizens to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (@PascoMosquito) to keep up with District news, announcements, and future events.
If you are interested in participating as a vendor next year, please email our Public Education & Information Officer, Jillian Meek (JMeek@PascoMosquito.org) to get added to the mailing list. If you were not able to make it this year, we hope to see you next year!
