Breakfast with Santa was hosted by the Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel benefitting the 'Build that Home ' charity at Bubba's 33. By Kyymara Rosey and Lisa Landesman-Moore

The Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel has committed to the focus area of “Helping Mothers and Children” by devoting our efforts over the next 3 years to raise $500,000 to build a therapeutic home at the Bridging Freedom campus for young girls who are the victims of sex-trafficking.

?The Bridging Freedom campus is located at a secure location in the Tampa area, and they have approval for a total of 7 homes. Two of these homes have already been built with the support of the Lazy Days Employee Foundation and the Chuck Sykes Foundation. Our goal is that the Rotary House will be the third.

“Child sex-trafficking is a horrific crime that robs the innocence of its victims and causes significant physical, mental and emotional trauma. In the United States each year, approximately 300,000 children – at the average age of 12 – are prostituted against their will, forced to provide sexual acts for an average of 15 men a night.”

?“Victims have the best chance of recovery when provided long-term, individualized and interdisciplinary care in a secure environment. Sadly, there are less than five facilities nationwide that provide this type of care, able to serve a total of only approximately 100 victims at any given time. Rotary International is a worldwide organization committed to helping people and communities through seven areas of focus.

At Bridging Freedom’s therapeutic safe home campus in the Tampa Bay area – the first of its kind in Florida – rescued children and teens receive long-term holistic care to help them heal.” - Bridging Freedom Website - www.bridgingfreedom.org
