The City of Zephyrhills Public Works provides an Educational demonstration at The Broach School as part of National School Choice Week
Approximately 180 students learned the ins and outs of residential solid waste collection and automated pickup. Multiple sanitation trucks were brought out, with tutorials on garbage packing and various truck components and operations; longtime sanitation supervisor Bobby Black, sanitation driver Donterrell Parker, and senior maintenance mechanic Jacob Hood were on hand, across morning and afternoon sessions. The City's Sanitation Division does public outreach for a number of other schools in the area, as well.
