Adelicia Vidal_3210…Adelicia Vidal (on right), of A-Lot-A-Bouncin & Party Supplies, was a big hit with the little ones at the Land O’ Lakes Relay For Life on April 27 by donating her bounce-a-lot-house. She is pictured with her daughter Iris Vidal.

Betty Barrett_3097…Relay For Life Survivors (from left) Betty Barrett, of Town n’ Country, and Kelli Pittman, of Land O’ Lakes, enjoyed eating delicious food that was made and donated by Cancer Survivor Ben Pumo, of Benedetto’s Ristorante, Italiano at the Land O’ Lakes Relay For Life held on April 27-28 at Pine View Middle School.

Boy Scout Troop 3_3204… Land O’ Lakes Boy Scout Troop 3, under leader Dan Benoit, helped out at the Land O’ Lakes Relay For Life and also made their popular Dump Cakes over the hot coals. 

 

David Roth_3156…Pine View Middle School’s David Roth (on left) and Honorary Mayor of Land O’ Lakes Chip Crouse (who was also the Chair of the Relay) tied for the Star Supporters by raising more than $1500 individually to the Land O’ Lakes Relay For Life on April 27. 

 

Irish Dancers_3149…Land O’ Lakes High School’s Sara Barton (on left) and the team of the Irish Angels dedicated this year’s Relay For Life in Land O’ Lakes to teammate Kelly Muldoon who lost her battle with cancer a few months ago.

John Rovie_3167…John Rovie, a Land O’ Lakes resident, who owns Just Right Massage Therapy in Zephyrhills, enjoys the turkey drumstick that the Land O’ Lakes Rotary was selling at the Relay For Life on April 27 as Debbie Champion watches.

Jordan Evans_3137-p…Wesley Chapel’s Jordan Evans wowed the crowd with her singing at the Land O’ Lakes Relay For Life held at Pine View Middle School on April 27-28.

Logan Johnson_3224…Logan Johnson and his mom Angie Johnson (a committee member) dedicated their Relay For Life in Land O’ Lakes to Logan’s sister Taylor Johnson who lost her battle with cancer before he was born.  They were part of the hard-working Lake Padgett Estates East team-Taylor’s Tribe that placed second for the most money raised ($10,300) at this year’s Relay. 

 

Michelle Bolia_3218…Wilderness Lakes Preserve resident Michelle Bolia sits by the Luminaria that she dedicated to her mother Judy Cash who is a survivor that is battling cancer.

 

Oakstead Elem Singers_3189…A large group from Oakstead Elementary School relayed and entertained at the Land O’ Lakes Relay For Life held at Pine View Middle School on April 27-28.

 

Randy Gailit_3029…Randy Gailit, Pam Johnson, and Denny Esber were part of the hard-working committee for this year’s Relay For Life in Land O’ Lakes. Committee members not pictured include: Cheryl Moore, Madalena Buck, Donna Piscitelli, Patti Anderson, and Patty Barton.

 

Ron Tamborski_2503…The Groves was the top moneymaker for this year’s Relay For Life in Land O’ Lakes donating $18,000.  They had several events throughout the year including the Second Annual Scott Brown Memorial Golf Tournament on April 22 at The Groves Golf & Country  Club where they raised $10,000. The committee worked hard at this fundraiser and “Auctioneer” Ron Tamoborski was one of them as he tries to get more bidders to bid more money on items.  Also pictured is helper Sandy Hess. 

 

Survivors_3062…Land O’ Lakes Relay For Life Survivors took their lap around the track to start this year’s Relay held at Pine View Middle School on April 27-28.  The annual event is the American Cancer Society’s Largest Fundraiser and this year the committee will hand over a check for approximately $90,000. The Committee would like to thank their sponsors: The Tampa Tribune, LOL Transport & Moving, Benedetto’s Ristorante, Italiano, Pizza Villa, Mad Hatter Utility, and all others who donated to the fundraisers throughout the year.

 

Yelena Skipper_3055…Pine View Middle School teacher and Relay For Life Committee and team member Yelena Skipper dedicated this year’s Relay For Life in Land O’ Lakes to former student Samantha Denney, who recently lost her battle with cancer. “Samantha was a special young lady who fought her difficult battle and still remained such a special person.  She was an inspiration to many and will be missed,” said Skipper as she told her own survivor story.  Also pictured is DJ Robert Lester who donated his services.  .
