Also featured were the former Miss Pasco County

of Commerce 2011 Miss Bella Pageant
The Pasco Hernando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosted a pageant
to raise participants self-esteem, communication skills and
ability to interact with the local business community and
general public. All funds collected will be deposited into the
PHHCC scholarship fund for girls between the ages of 12-17.
“Miss Bella” Pageant and Fashion Show was celebrated on March
18th, 2011 at the Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club. Pasco Hernando
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (PHHCC) is the creator of “Miss
Bella” a fashion show/pageant with a cause, not just a slogan
Miss Bella is to teach young girls the importance of confidence,
image, self-esteem, and the ability to be presentable and
professional in a business setting.

Owens, of Lowry Elementary, was crowned Miss New Tampa Pre-Teen, Brie Edmister,
of Wiregrass Ranch High School was crowned Miss New Tampa Teen, and Johora
Ramotar, a student at USF, is the 2010 Miss New Tampa. They were crowned
at the pageant held on
September 27 at the Pebble Creek Community Center. Vicky McShane was the

Scholarship Pageant
The 2009 Miss Central Pasco Teen Anastasia Stroup, with the 2010 Miss Central
Pasco Teen Fern Powell and the 2010 Miss Central Pasco, Lauren Perez with the
2009 Miss Central Pasco, Taylor Mock.
Ashley Ramsey, a student at USF, is the 2009 Miss
Zephyrhills. She was crowned on March 21 at the
pageant that was held at Zephyrhills High School.
The Rotary Club of Zephyrhills Daybreak sponsored
the event and Manny Funes was Master of
Ceremonies. ... Brittany Monbarren, Miss Zephyrhills
2008, was surprised when Mayor W. Cliff McDuffie
presented her with the Community Service Award. She
made over 60 appearances during her reign as Miss
Zephyrhills.
Victoria Williams, of Mitchell High School, was
crowned Miss Zephyrhills Outstanding Teen on March
21 at Zephyrhills High School. The Rotary Club of
Zephyrhills Daybreak sponsored the event and Manny
Funes was Master of Ceremonies.

Chloe Lupo, of Freedom High School, is the new Miss
Pasco County Fair. She won the title in a very
competitive contest on February 21 at Dan Cannon
Auditorium. She sang “Crazy Dreams” for the talent
portion and her platform is Volunteerism-Just Get Up
and Volunteer. Jacqueline Urbuteit, a student at UF,
was crowned the 2009 Miss Pasco County, at the
pageant held on February 21 at Dan Cannon
Auditorium. She sang, “At Last” for the talent
portion of the pageant, and her platform is “Upward
Bound-Mentoring Children about the Importance of
Education.”

runner-up at the Miss Sparklebration Pageant. Blake Jefferson, a student
at San Antonio Elementary, was a contestant in the Miss Sparklebration
Pageant held at Dan Cannon Auditorium on June 28. Hailey Ann Wade, of

Cozzo, of Weightman Middle School, was a contestant in the Miss
Sparklebration Pageant. Layla Gilliard, a student at Seven Oaks
Elementary, was crowned Wee Miss Sparklebration at the Pageant held at

Brooke Britto, of
Heritage Elementary, was second runner up at the Miss New Tampa Pre-Teen
Pageant held on June 1 at the Pebble Creek Community Center. The first
time pageant was directed by Vicky McShane who would like to thank
sponsors: Dairy Queen, New Tampa and Wesley Chapel, Dianna Acosta, of
Mary Kay Cosmetics, Bay Gulf Credit Union, Pakmail, NTLC Property
Maintenance, and New Tampa Neighborhood News. Isabella Alfaro, of
Heritage Elementary, was second runner up. Kathleen Switzer, of Chester
Taylor Elementary, won the Miss New Tampa Sweetheart Pageant. Kiersten Herman, of Chester Taylor
Elementary, was second runner up.
Carlie Miccolis,
of Benito Middle School, was named Miss New Tampa Teen. Kayla Gilyard,

The
Miss Wesley Chapel Pageant was held on May 10, Mother’s Day, at the
Performing Arts Center at Wesley Chapel. Many of the contestants wished
the mothers’ in the audience a Happy Mother’s Day or gave special wishes
to their own mothers’ who they referred to as their heroine or favorite
person. This speaks highly of the quality of the 32 girls who competed.
Some mothers won the special gift of having their daughters win a
pageant title. Pictured are (from left): Carla Ramotar, with daughter
Johara Ramotar, who was crowned Miss Wesley Chapel, Kathy Leung, with
daughter Shirley Leung, who was crowned Teen Miss Wesley Chapel and Teen
Miss Photogenic (the first year for this award), Christa Watson, with
daughter Alexus Watson, who was crowned Junior Miss Wesley Chapel,
Stephanie Rios, with daughter Elisha Monet Rios, who won Little Miss
Wesley Chapel, Yolaine Groeller, with daughter Santanna Groeller, who
won Tiny Miss Wesley Chapel. The Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of
Commerce put on the event. Sponsors included: Florida Hospital Imaging,
Heritage Bank of Florida, Westgate Printing, Florida Express Freight,
Mobley Homes, The Tampa Tribune, Merle Norman Cosmetic Studios and Day
Spa.
There were definitely signs of
springtime on stage last weekend, in Dade City at the first annual
Fashion Show, Fundraiser, Silent Auction, and Luncheon, held at Clayton
Hall and the Pasco County Fairgrounds on Sunday, April 27th, 2008.
Local models looked like they stepped right off of the cover of Vogue
magazine, while strutting across the stage and
down the runway, all the while parading fun spring outfits, cocktail
dresses, and evening gowns, from Bealls Department Store and a high
end gown boutique in Jacksonville, Florida. Various pageant
titleholders from Pasco County were in the limelight, and looked right
at home modeling various casual sportswear outfits and glamorous gowns.

Chantal Trinidad, of Dade City, Florida has been selected by The Florida
United States Pageant as Mrs. Tampa 2008. Chantal Trinidad will compete
in the 2008 Mrs. Florida United States Pageant May 2-4th
at the Ormond Performing Arts Center in Ormond Beach.
Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce Greg
First did a great job as Master of Ceremonies and pageant Directors,
Diane Kennedy and Ruth Johnson and Zephyrhills Jaycees Chapter
President Nick Latvys (not pictured), among others, worked tirelessly to
make this event a success… The 2008 Zephyrhills Jaycees Scholarship
Pageant Court is Miss Zephyrhills, Brittany Monbarren, 2007 Miss
Zephyrhills Jaycees Outstanding Teen 2007, Ashley Gibson, Miss Friendly

Miss Tampa Teen USA 2008 won by Pasco's own Briana Lupo
of Land O'Lakes
What a great visit to Tampa it was a fun
and competitive afternoon of pageantry. Congratulations to Miss Lupo and
Ms. Gracia on joining the class of 2009 and winning a pass to Hollywood.
Now the Road To Hollywood actually returns to Hollywood for the fifth
annual hometown pageant.

The Little Miss Kumquat
Festival Pageant was held at the auditorium of Pasco Middle School, in
Dade City. The contestants, ages 1 through 17, competed in one of five
age groups. Girls ages 7 through 17 wore long gowns while girls age 1
through 6, party dresses. Also, contestants were judged for onstage
speeches and casual wear. Girls ages 13-17 participated in the Miss
Outstanding Teen Kumquat Festival. Girls and women ages 17-24
participated in the Miss Kumquat Festival. The Miss Outstanding Teen
Kumquat Festival and the Miss Kumquat Festival Pageant was held at Pasco
Middle School on Sunday, Jan. 20, following the Little Miss Kumquat
Festival Pageant.
Winners of the
Miss Outstanding Teen Kumquat Festival and the Miss Kumquat Festival
Pageant will advance to the Miss Outstanding Florida Teen and Miss
Florida pageants held in St. Petersburg. Also, they will reign over the
Kumquat Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 26, in downtown Dade
City.

Land O’Lakes High School student Brianna Allessandra Lupo of Lutz, was
crowned Teen Miss Gasparilla, (ages 14-17) in the Gasparilla Pageant
2008, which was divided into four age divisions. Miss Lupo competed
against many other Teen Miss Gasparilla entrants at the Westin Hotel on
Harbour Island in downtown Tampa.
