Friday 9/10/10, we made our annual donation to the Lutz Patriots. This is the presentation photo taken in front of the new Pandora Shop in our Land O' Lakes store. Rolex Arrives at Pasco's Kiefer Village Jewels

Kiefer Village Jewels President, David Hevia, announced on June 6, 2008, the Land O' Lakes store's official designation as an "Authorized Rolex Jeweler." Now featuring a fully-stocked Rolex salon in their location at 24144 State Road 54 (Lutz, FL), KVJ also now offers Authorized Rolex Repair Services, Rolex Warranty Servicing, and provides Rolex educational materials. Rolex Watch, the most famous and recognized brand name in watches and jewelry, started in 1908 and 100 years later has arrived in Pasco, lending to the county's signs of prominence. Kiefer Village Jewels, established in Dade City in 1957, expanded to Land O' Lakes in 2002 and moved into a custom-built free-standing site in 2006.

German National Citizen, Hans Wilsdorf, started the company with his passion to create the first wristwatch. The adaptation from pocket watches would require many transformations and raise the need for resistance to shock, dust, and water. A quick study of Rolex on their website, Rolex.com, timelines the inventions and advances leading to today's master timepiece. Simply put, the history of Rolex is the history of the wrist watch.

Less than 800, or 2%, of the jewelry stores in the United States are Authorized Rolex Jewelers. That places locally-owned Kiefer Village Jewels at a high-level of prominence realizing a goal that has been 10-years of hard work and a lifelong dream of company leaders, David & Wendy Hevia. "Everything we've done, every decision we have made since we started, has been with the vision towards being a Rolex jeweler," explained Wendy Hevia.

The Hevia's purchased the jewelry store from Dade City icons, Al & Margaret Kiefer, in 1997. After relocating to a main downtown corner location, they saw opportunity in fast-growing central Pasco. The #2 store first opened in a strip-center but shortly thereafter, they purchased property along State Road 54. "We could see that Central Pasco was going to boom," Hevia explained the investment.
The Hevia's, both in jewelry since youth, met while working in competing mall jewelers during their early 20's. While courting, they dreamed of running a jewelry business that carried fine products like Rolex. After 23 years of marriage, they have achieved one of their greatest goals. Wendy said "We sought guidance to the Rolex track after our first year with the (KVJ) store. The last 3 years have been intense with inspections, assessments, and meeting the high standards they expect. This is a very exclusive institution. It just doesn't happen overnight." David added, "This is huge for us, all of us, Kiefer Village Jewels - and Pasco County. They didn't just select us, they also selected the area. They did their research and concluded that Pasco County is ready for Rolex. We know we are." KVJ presents a free Rolex demonstration and educational session by visiting the store during regular store hours which are 10a - 8p Monday through Saturday, and 12p - 5p on Sunday. Wendy Hevia, of Kiefer Village Jewels, located at 37850 Meridian Avenue in Dade City, is happy to announce that Kiefer Village Jewels now has it's own private label timepiece collection. This beautiful collection of exclusive timepieces have the name Kiefer and their knot logo on every dial. Every Kiefer timepiece is made in the USA from Swiss parts and comes with a 3 year warranty. Each piece is presented in a magnificent mahogany finished wood box. "Our private label time pieces have one of three fine Swiss movements; E.T.A, Ronda, or Valjoux, all of which have been, or are currently found in, high end time pieces" said Hevia. Rolex used E.T.A movements in times past and Valjoux movements can currently be found in some Breitling time pieces. In addition to the finest movements available for watches today, each of the Kiefer Village Jewels branded time pieces come with a synthetic sapphire crystal. This crystal is virtually scratch proof as is the second hardest substance known to man, next to diamonds. The crystal can only be scratched under EXTREME circumstances. "These timepieces are an exceptional value and you won't find an equivalent time piece with our name behind it at the price! " said Hevia.

6793… David and Wendy Hevia, owner of the new store located at 24144 SR 54 in Lutz/Land O' Lakes (at the intersection with Foggy Ridge Parkway), prepare to cut the ribbon at their ribbon cutting for the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce on July 8th. Honorary Mayor Faith Jordan-Masella and co-workers and friends joined them. The free-standing store is on the south side of the road and is clearly marked with Kiefer Village Jewels and a diamond.

6806… A Giving Tree presentation was made by David Hevia (center) of Kiefer Village Jewels, to the Lutz Patriots, (a local volunteer organization supporting our troops serving overseas) Bruce Hockensmith, Barbara Mueller, Karen Williams and Marge Hockensmith who will use the funds for care package items and postage for the packages to be sent to our troops overseas. Mr. Hockensmith is a veteran who served his country overseas in Germany, knows first hand how important those packages are to our troops.
