Club Politico meeting Peter Castellani
of Oasis Pregnancy Center

Peter Castellani of Oasis Pregnancy Center was welcomed by Julia Hassler, Club Politico President, to their April meeting at Vallarta's Mexican Restaurant located 22948 State Road 54 in Lutz.  Following a social hour members listened to Castellani, Executive Director, Oasis Pregnancy Center who raised questions regarding the use of Federal taxes to help pay for abortions and that minority women, particularly Hispanics, are targeted for abortions. This caring organization is making a difference in our community giving hope to pregnant women and their babies.

Federal Credit Union
Members of the Pasco Hernando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union gathered recently for their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Lutz location. Rocio Paulsen founding President of the Pasco Hernando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce introduces Jenny Torres, Service Center Manager of the Lutz / Land O’Lakes Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union. The Credit Union is located on Collier Parkway.

Pasco Hernando Hispanic Chamber  
of Commerce 2011 Miss Bella Pageant
 

The Pasco Hernando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosted a pageant to raise participants self-esteem, communication skills and ability to interact with the local business community and general public. All funds collected will be deposited into the PHHCC scholarship fund for girls between the ages 12-17.

     “Miss Bella” Pageant and Fashion Show was celebrated on March 18th, 2011 at the Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club. Pasco Hernando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (PHHCC) is the creator of “Miss Bella” a fashion show/pageant with a cause, not just a slogan Miss Bella is to teach young girls the importance of confidence, image, self-esteem, and the ability to be presentable and professional in a business setting.

Board Induction Meeting

Rocio Paulsen, founding President of the PHHCC welcomes Peter Castellani of Oasis Pregnancy Center, as the newest member of the Pasco Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. PHHCC recently held the Induction of Board members at the Cooperstone Executive Suites in Land O Lakes. A very moving speech was given about Hispanic women and pro life choices.…

Club Politico recently met at Vallartas Restaurant with Guest Speaker, Pasco County Commissioner Henry Wilson Jr. The Goals of Club Politco are:To organize voting-age members of the Hispanic community into a club that is able to promote the goals and mission of the Republican Party;To educate, instruct, and inform the Hispanic electorate about political issues  and encourage political involvement in Republican Party activities; To register new voters as members of the Republican Party; To encourage existing voters to become members of the Republican
Party;To find, promote, fund, and elect qualified individuals to public office;To increase voter turn-out for Republican candidates in all elections; To promote support and loyalty to the Republican Party and its leaders.

Club Politico, a Republican Hispanic Club held their February meeting on Feb 8 with Guest Speaker Yolanda Harper, a Clinical Social Worker who has experienced first hand the trials our Veterans face when returning from War spoke about military life for them, their families and re-adjustment to civilian life. The Pasco/Hernando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce held their inaugural ceremony at the Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club on Thursday April 29th. Elena McCullough, Candidate for Florida House District 61, had the privilege of administering the oath of office to the founding Board members, Marisaida Mendez, Assistant Treasurer,  Mccullough, Irene Carrillo, Dade City Executive Director, Martha Martinez, Vice-President, Scarlett Torres, Hernando County Executive Director, Maria Barros, Vice-President, Rocio “Rosie” D. Paulsen – Founder and President, Marcelino Velez, Secretary, Jose S. Ramos, Treasurer, Louis Quiles, Vice-President. "This is a great opportunity for the Hispanic Business community to come together to create jobs and revitalize out local economy," said Candidate McCullough.
