Wiregrass Ranch Foundation delivers a check for $20,000 to Lacoochee Boys and Girls Club

What a delight to have the Wiregrass Ranch Foundation be able to deliver a check for $20,000 to the Lacoochee Boys and Girls Club at their annual Christmas party. This will fully fund their new facility. Plus as an added bonus Wiregrass Ranch Foundation were able to partner with Onbikes and delivered 50 new bikes to all of the kids as a Christmas surprise!

Twice a year, The Christian Edge and the Lacoochee/Trilby/Trilacoochee Steering Committee (LTT) cooperate with local organizations and churches to clean up the northeast Pasco County area. This time, our major participant was the Progressive 4-H club of the Dade City area.
Our guest celebrity was our new principal for Lacoochee Elementary School, Latoya Jordan.

Kelly Branham and Darryl Tait of the Trilby/Lacoochee area took out their canoe on Sunday to paddle up and coast down the Withlacoochee River. They launched from the end of Coit Road in the Withlacoochee State Forest for several hours of quiet nature. The river is fed from the Green Swamp, and with the latest rains, the river level at Trilby is three and a half feet, and navigable in most places. By Richard K Riley

Pasco County Commissioners grants $300,000 towards a new Community Center at Stanley Park in the Lacoochee area

Pasco County commissioners awarded the Lacoochee community $300,000 on Tuesday, matching the same amount raised by the Lacoochee Boys & Girls Club for the 10,000 square foot center and gymnasium at Stanley Park. The Lacoochee Boys & Girls Club provides facilities for about 50 kids and the new facility would at least double that number.
