Trinity Rotary, Wheelchairs 4 Kids, Custom Mobility and Precision Kia of Wesley Chapel give little Angelica a lift!

Teamwork is awesome! Thanks so much to Precision Kia of Wesley Chapel for putting in a brand new transmission, Custom Mobility, Inc. for GREATLY discounting the cost of repairing Angelica's lift and the Trinity Rotary for donating funds to cover the cost.

Angelica is an outgoing and vivacious teen with a penchant for talking on the phone, listening to One Direction, and going to the mall. In other words, your typical teen girl! Her favorite show is Criminal Minds and any movie starring Channing Tatum is one she wants to see! She loves Starbucks and hanging out with her friends at the mall, but that had become a little more challenging for the last two years.

Angelica, AKA Angel, was born with spina bifida, a birth defect that involves the incomplete development of the spinal cord or its coverings. She also has several other complications associated with the condition including hydrocephalus and scoliosis. Angelica cannot walk and uses a power wheelchair. Her only mode of transportation is the family van. The lift on the van was broken and the only way to get Angelica and her chair inside is by using 2 unstable planks of wood, a frightful situation. Therefore, her outings are few and far between. She was using 2 boards to get in and had fallen off a couple of times. The transmission in the van was not working either. Needless to say, she didn't get to join her friends as often as she'd like. This beautiful girl needed to get her summer fun on! Wheelchairs 4 Kids arranged to have the lift fixed and transmission fixed so that Angel can get back out there with all her friends. Now she can get in and go anytime! Wheelchairs 4 Kids is a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of children with physical disabilities. Madeline Robinson Click to visit Wheelchairs 4 Kid!
