Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco host the Women Build, Men Bake

Habitat's 4th Annual Women Build - Men Bake was a huge success! The venue was perfect, the 4G Ranch generously hosted the charity event. There were horse drawn carriage rides, live entertainment, a photo booth, and chef prepared food. But the real draw was the man-made creations. From mouthwatering Bourbon Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies to the most decadent cakes these guys came to win! There was a Senator, a Mayor, Chief of Police, Building Contractors, a City Manager, Car Dealership managers and staff, etc. who knew these guys were so talented in the kitchen.

Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco County has a Women Build every year. Women can make a difference in their communities by building homes and raising awareness of local housing needs. Women Build isn't about excluding men; it is about encouraging and empowering women. We didn't want to leave the guys out, so Habitat started having a Women Build – Men Bake Event.

The Men Bake Event challenges prominent MEN in our community to step up and devote at least one day to the effort to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by baking an item, wearing a pink apron, and either enter it in our baking contest or walk the pink carpet with their baked item and auction it off. The event has grown into a spirited competition and a valuable fundraiser. This year’s Women Build – Men Bake raised approximately $25,000.00 for Habitat.
