Erin Meyer of Gator Cleaning Solutions, Charlene Rogers Ierna and Shantelle Johannesen Beachler of Ierna’s Heating & Cooling and Christen did a great job organizing the Wesley Chapel Rotary 2nd annual Spelling Bee and according to raw numbers, increased fundraising for the event almost tenfold and their team would like to thank all of their generous sponsors again for all the support with the Spelling Bee! It was a wonderful evening of fun, prizes and of course spelling! They had some exciting raffle items including Lowry Park family passes, excellent Lightening tickets, an electric guitar, restaurants gift certificates, oil changes and more at Pebble Creek Golf and Country Club. The proceeds of this fantastic event went to benefit the Pasco Education Foundation. Josh Linker from Bay News 9 was the evenings emcee for the Spelling Bee and Pasco Clerk of the Court Dr. Paula O'Neil returned this year as one the esteemed judges. Hutch Brock, PA was also one of the esteemed judges at the Spelling Bee 2013. Hutch has served on the Pasco Education Foundation board since 2008 while also holding the Co-Chair seat on the Penny for Pasco committee. Hutch has served as the Dade City major and has volunteered his time with many other civic organizations including Rotary International. Tampa Bay Parenting's Angela Ardolino rounded out this years Killer Bee Judges Panel. Everyone was very excited to have Mike Reeves from 99.9 WXJB as the final judge to join the esteemed panel and have him participate in this event that will ultimately help the youth and educators of Pasco County.
