Thomas James Kranendonk 2013 Memorial Scholar Athlete Award

The Thomas James Kranendonk Scholar/Athlete Scholarship is awarded each year by the Kranendonk Family in honor of their beloved son in conjunction with the Pasco Education Foundation. To be eligible a student must be a graduate from Land O' Lakes High School, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA (unweighted), must be planning to enroll in an accredited, four-year institution or two- year program leading to a four-year undergraduate degree and have earned at least one Varsity Athletic Letter. A separate essay with the topic: How team sports have influenced my life and education is also required and evaluated.

Jim and Mary Jane Kranendonk along with their son’s John and Robert announced this year’s Thomas James Kranendonk Memorial Scholar Athlete Award winner at Beef O’Brady’s Wilderness Lake, Cara Walden of Land O’Lakes High School.

Cara Walden has a GPA of 4.0 and was the:

2012 - All Academic Team for FACA - Div. 6A

2012 - MVP for Varsity Volleyball at LOLHS

2012 - Captain of the Varsity Volleyball team - LOLHS

2012 - Athlete of the month - LOL HS

2012 - Max Preps Player of the week
