2012 was OurtownFLA.com’s 12^th year in business but our first full year with our new format and it looks like you like it. Our monthly numbers stayed strong all year with our average hits at 544,750 from 27,678 visitors. We had hoped to finish stronger but that didn’t happen, dealing with the loss of my father in November took its toll on the content side and that’s what drives the numbers. I learned so much from him about recording the present for the future that it actually became my passion. I tried to explain to him that what we do now on the computer are the same concepts that he taught me when I was young but instead of editing film mechanically we do it digitally. It's the capture thats the key.

The planned celebration marking my 15 year of providing content on the internet (I ran a local blog here for 2 ½ years) had to be postponed and it will be rescheduled to coincide with the 13^th Anniversary of OurtownFLA.com in March. We plan some big changes this year that we hope you like as we strive to keep up with the changes in Pasco and Northern Hillsborough Counties and add value to our site and your experience here.
