Football Action as Sunlake High School edges Wiregrass High School, 17 to 12

Sunlake almost ruined a dominating first-half performance by letting Wiregrass Ranch get within a touchdown in the second half, but came away with a 17-12 win Friday night. Wiregrass Ranch had minus-26 yards of offense in the opening half and failed to break the line of scrimmage until the third quarter. Sunlake quarterback Josh Zifer and running back Eddie Burgos carried the Seahawks. Zifer recovered from an opening-play interception by finishing the first half 10-of-15 with 115 yards, including a touchdown pass to Burgos. Read the whole story: TampaBay.com
