Taste of Pasco at the Rotary Pavilion

Leadership Pasco presented the 2012 Taste of Pasco to raise money for the new Mobile Medical Care Unit that will take health care to the streets with a medical unit on wheels to tend to homeless people and residents with little or no private insurance.

This was the second year for this event that was held at the Rotary Pavilion at the Concourse preserve and included food from local area restaurants, live music, silent auction and a Pasco County Sheriff K-9 unit demonstration. The kids played games, had their faces painted, enjoyed a bounce house and balloon artists from Balloon Distractions.

Local celebrities attending including Toby Hall, the retired former Tampa Bay Rays catcher, and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Anthony Becht.

"This was a great opportunity to give back to the community and help those less fortunate than ourselves and at the same time, enjoy delicious food from some of Pasco's best restaurants.," said Krista Hakes in a news release. Hakes is the Vice President of Leadership Pasco and Economic Development Manager at the Pasco Economic Development Council.
