Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel Expands its Health Care Services with Opening of Florida Hospital ER Central Pasco

There is a population boom in Pasco County, and Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel is expanding its health care services to reach the growing number of residents moving into the area. The hospital is opening Florida Hospital ER Central Pasco, a new Emergency Room, on Monday, January 29th, located offsite from the hospital on State Road 54 just east of the Suncoast Parkway.

Construction began last spring on the 18,000 square-foot facility that features a year-round full-service emergency department with 24 beds and state of the art on-site imaging such as x-ray, ultrasound, CT scans and onsite laboratory services. The new emergency room is staffed with board certified emergency medicine physicians as well as nurses who specialize in emergency care.

The emergency room also features a customized augmented reality experience for patients (especially children) to help reduce stress and help them keep their mind off of their injury or illness during their visit.

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel will also offer ambulance services for patients who come to the Florida Hospital Central Paso ER and need to be admitted to the hospital. The Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel team members on board are trained for critical care transport and will provide comprehensive, continuous care to patients as they are transferred.

“As the community grows, we are committed to add new health care services and facilities to better meet the needs of the community,” said Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel President & CEO Denyse Bales-Chubb.
