The 2017 Murder Mystery Fundraising Tea Party by Women n Charge at the Grove
Women in charge celebrated their annual fundraising Tea. This year’s Tea was held Saturday, September 30, 2017, at The Groves Golf and Country Club. The Murder Mystery Play was called: Mayhem on Maui - Murder in Paradise - Who Spiked the Hawaiian Punch?
It was the generous sponsors, volunteers, and supporters for helping women in charge that made the event possible. There were raffle prizes and a hat contest. Prizes were awarded for The Best Themed, The Loveliest, The Most Creative, and The Most Elegant. Also, "Sherla Combs" the great detective, solved a crime during the tea party
The proceeds raised will fund the woman in charge grant program for women in business. Each spring they donate two $1,000 grants. To learn more about Women-n-Charge or their grant program, click here: www.women-n-charge.com.

Amazing tables by our Table Sponsors, beautiful girls (and some guys), lots of pretty hats, and of course...tea. Held at The Groves in Land O' Lakes, the event was sponsored by The Law Offices of Lucas|Magazine. Afternoon Tea with high-tea fare was catered by Ghada Jadallah, owner of Dash of Salt n' Pepper, with volunteer servers from GFWC Little Women of Lutz and hot water service from local business men.
Thank you to our "Whodunit" Sponsor, Wesley Chapel Nissan and our Island Sponsors: Judy Nicolosi, Realtor (Charles Rutenburg); Barbara Brekke (Go Beyond Your Dreams); Roxanne Harmon (Murals and More); Alice Estey, Broker (Exceptional Real Estate); and Hollie's Farm & Garden. We'd also like to thank the Hat Contest Sponsors: Ierna's Heating, Cooling & Plumbing and AAA - The Auto Club Group, and our Scone Sponsors: Sandra Miniere (Integrative Wellness) and Linda Berardi (Global Cynergies).
Incredible acting in the 'Who-Done-It?" murder mystery by gorgeous local business women and directed by Anne Childers of Childers & Associates. The stage set created and painted by Mary Roxanne Harmon of Murals and More with assistance from Rachel Sisemore. Penny & Rick Pike of Waterline Construction, handled the stage set up and construction. DJ Clint Hinson of Karaoke King Productions kept many pretty women dancing to Pretty Woman while showing off their hats.
The evening production featured a solely Hawaiian theme with pineapple centerpieces created by Rosemary MacKeen of Arve Interiors. Delicious dinner was catered by Chef Mark Vesh of Catered by Vesh. Lots of baskets and local prizes were available to win at night and during the day. The entire day ran smoothly thanks to our Event Chair Barbara Brekke of Go Beyond Your Dreams, and a fun time was had by all!
