Frost McDonald’s Annual Volunteer Dinner at the Ronald House

The Frost McDonald’s Annual Volunteer Dinner at the Ronald House was held on Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, located at McDonald’s, 401 7th Ave S. St. Petersburg, FL 33701.

The volunteers served dinner to the families that are having to use the house due to their children being ill or injured and are at All Children’s Hospital. The Boyd Hill Natural Preserve-City of St. Petersburg brought a couple baby owls to the Ronald House for entertainment for the children. The dinner was served at 6:00 pm.

Families are referred to the House by hospital staff, a clinical social worker or pastoral care. In some cases, families may refer themselves.

Inside the Ronald McDonald House near Tampa General Hospital, Frost polishes, mops, cleans and lends a helping hand to keep the facility neat for the families who come to stay while their loved ones are being treated in the hospital.

Frost has taken part in Ronald McDonald House Charities' Teen Volunteer Program for the past four summers.

On weekdays, students are scheduled to work in pairs with two-hour shifts, spending the time assisting residents by doing normal household chores so they can be at the hospital with their ill family members. To read more, visit Tampabay.com
