It was a great night of entertainment and fun. There were lots of surprises planned. There were door prizes, a silent auction, games and additional drawings for even more prizes. Free food and soft drinks - Beer and wine were available for purchase at great prices.
The food was provided by Texas Roadhouse, the prizes came from loads of different places, Texas Roadhouse, Bath and Body Works, and tons more, a 50/50, which the winner generously donated back. The lions club offers free diabetic and eye screenings. What a great event, thanks to tireless volunteers!
Next up, Nov.19th, 6-8 pm, at Land O'Lakes Winery. Bring a canned good, please, bring several, and donate used eyeglasses! You can't change the world, if you can't change your community! 18 of 24 lanes were used.
What the Lions Foundation Does
All proceeds go to support the Wesley Chapel Lions Foundation. The Foundation provides FREE sight, diabetes and retinopathy screening programs throughout central and eastern Pasco County. In addition to our screenings, people who cannot afford an eye exam, eye glasses or even eye surgery can turn to the Lions to provide these services at no or little cost. Through our partners we provide workforce training and guide and companion dogs for those in need. No soldier goes without because Lions are here to serve.
