On Friday, July 22, 2016, the Wesley Chapel Rotary and their gracious volunteers attended all three read-offs at the District 2 office. With their volunteers and their families, they provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all of the deputies, civilians, and detectives for the entire District office. This meant that the Rotarians and their volunteers were at the District 2 office starting at 4:30 a.m. and stayed throughout the day, not leaving until after 7 p.m. later that evening. They made sure that every officer attending read-off was fed and thanked for their service.

Chris Casella lead the charge and organized everyone. Capt.Davis thanked Sophia for her efforts in fundraising for the Sheriff and K9s. Rotarian Trevor Campbell was kind enough to donate all of the food for this special event. Some of the children in attendance provided handmade thank you cards, badges and care packages to each officer. These Rotarians took the time to thank all the men and women in District 2 for their outstanding courage and professionalism in keeping our community safe. Photos by David Alvarez.
