Ann Amato is honored for 30 years of faithful service as a volunteer at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.
Hudson, Florida – In a private ceremony, Ann Amato was recently honored for 30 years of service to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Ann Amato was born in Elmhurst, New York only 85 years ago. For 30 years she has been volunteering at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and is usually the face that greets you at Welcome Center A on Wednesday afternoons. In her 30 years of service she has logged in an excess of 9,200 hours of service. Ann is regarded as diplomatic and patient, exhibiting the very finest character, encouraging others by her example. “Her dedication, commitment, loyalty and service to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point is insurmountable”, said Donna Owen, Manager of Volunteer Services, who presented Ann with her award.

Interacting with visitors and guests, she communicates how much her volunteer service means to her. In fact, she recently reflected on a time not long ago when she and her late husband, Joe, who also volunteered at the hospital, led a group of Christmas and 4th of July carolers around the floors of our hospital bringing cheer to our patients and staff. “Creating beauty, sharing smiles she easily gave to one and - never letting personal or health difficulties over the years keep her from finishing commitments to her assignments”, added Donna Owen.
