HCA Pasco County Hospitals – Medical Center of Trinity and Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point were named among the nation’s Top Performers on Key Quality Measures®. The Joint Commission’s Top Performers recognizes hospitals that attain excellence on accountability measures related to evidence-based care for certain conditions.

Medical Center of Trinity was named a Top Performing Hospital for the following conditions: heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care, stroke.

Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point was named a Top Performing Hospital for the following conditions: heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care, Venous Thromboembolism (VTE – the formation of blood clots in the vein), and stroke. “The Joint Commission’s Top Performers recognition uses objective data to determine the top hospitals, and we are proud that more than three-quarters of HCA’s hospitals have been recognized for their consistent achievement of high performance levels on key quality measures,” said Dr. Jonathan B. Inclusion on the list is based on aggregation of accountability measure data reported during the previous calendar year. To be recognized as a Top Performer on key quality measures an organization must meet 95% or more on performance thresholds on accountability measure data. In addition to being included in the release of The Joint Commission’s “Improving America’s Hospitals” annual report, HCA’s Pasco County hospitals will be recognized on The Joint Commission’s Quality Check website – www.qualitycheck.org.
