Gus Bilirakis Host 9th Annual Veterans Resource Fair and Patriotic program - Photos by David Wright

On Saturday, March 14, from 11 am - 2 pm, Congressman Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) hosted his Annual Veterans Resource Fair, which provided important information and services for Veterans and their families in the 12th Congressional District.

“Veterans have given so much to our country - it is only right that we give back,” Bilirakis said. “I am proud to have hosted our 9th Annual Veterans Resource Fair. This event was a one-stop shop for our Veterans, which provided them with access to a variety of available services and resources. The services included: medical care, assistance with their disability claims or education benefits, and employment information.”

Following the resource fair, from 11 am – 1 pm, the Congressman had a short patriotic program from 1pm – 2pm, hosted by Frank Wuco, Commander, USN, (Ret.), which included a performance by the Hudson Middle School Jazz Band. Additionally, the program featured guest speaker Eddie Ko. During the Korean War, Mr. Ko was part of the Student Volunteer Army, an anti-communist group of 12 teenage spies headed by a South Korean officer. He was tasked with gathering information on the North Korean Army, and providing it to the American Armed Forces.

The fair was held at River Ridge High School, at 11646 Town Center Road, in New Port Richey, Florida, 34654.
