Lighthouse nominated J David Wright/Photos by J David for the skilled photography he donates to the community and for his use of social media which raises awareness about important social issues and agencies. Through his photography and sharing on social media he manages to bring a lot of awareness, smiles, and laughter, which makes a difference for many organizations like the Lighthouse. The committee accepted nominations for the banquet where Philanthropists from Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties were recognized for their dedication to community service and giving. Nominations of community leaders were in six categories including:
- Philanthropist of the Year
- Philanthropic Corporation of the Year
- Philanthropic Small Business of the Year
- Philanthropic Service Organization of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year in Philanthropy
- Youth in Philanthropy
