The Noon Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel welcomes Miss Nathe founder of S.O.C.K.S. (Students Organizing Cancer patients Krazy Socks)

The Noon Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel had one of their youngest featured speaker in memory when Courtney Nathe spoke to them with her message regarding her mission to serve her community, especially those most in need. Miss Nathe founded S.O.C.K.S. ( Students Organizing Cancer patients Krazy Socks ) as she wanted to make a difference and provide aid to someone, as her Girl Scout Gold Award. Girl Scout's have three awards for leadership and community service, the Bronze Award for Junior Scouts, the Silver Award for Cadettes and the Gold Award for high school age girls. The Gold Award is comparable to the Boy Scout Eagle Award. Through by Girl Scouting, she has earned all three awards and have learned values, skills, developed confidence and saw the importance of being involved in my community. The group provides therapeutic socks, moisturizing socks and fun krazy socks to cancer patients and caregivers. These socks will help cancer patients with their needs, boost their spirits, put a smile on their face and help them feel more at home while undergoing treatment. Her goal is to continue to provide these socks to at least one Children's Miracle Network Hospital in all states on a regular bases, as requested by the hospitals and keep growing to include Hope Lodges and cancer facilities for all age groups.

They serve as a foundation for our relationships with each other and the action we take in the world.
