Wesley Chapel Hyundai + Mazda, Veterans Elementary, Girl Scouts donate to Farmworkers Self-Help Teen Center

When Roger Traboulay, scout leader for troop 1263 in Wesley Chapel, contacted Kelly Mothershead, Community Relations Manager at Hyundai, Mazda and Chevrolet of Wesley Chapel with an idea for teaching volunteerism and community service the girls of local Girl Scout Troop 1263. “ I gave them several different types of opportunities and they decided they would like to get involved in school supplies for children in our area” said Mothershead. So the girls, Paige Traboulay, Jordan Wheeler, Kaitlin Traboulay, Alyssa Duran, Kristen Sonsol, Mayah Jaramillo and Katie Corrigan went home and created the donation boxes and place them at local businesses. With the help of Scott Fink from Hyundai of Wesley Chapel and so many more who participated with the girls to ensure that their first project was a success. Hyundai of Wesley Chapel pitched in to fill the boxes and help deliver the supplies to Veterans Elementary in Wesley Chapel and also to the farmworkers self-help Teen Center in Dade City. A Special Thanks goes out all those who helped to make this project a success including PTA President, Andria Roscart, Veterans Elementary Principal Gretchen Rudolph-Fladd and Media Specialist Susan Forgas. “ But we could still use crayons, markers, dry erase markers, pens and we really need the Kindergarten composition books; they have the 3 lines to help with writing” said Veterans Elementary Principal Gretchen Rudolph-Fladd.
