Grand Opening of the Campaign Headquarters of Danny Burgess, for State House, District 38

Friday, Jun 20, 2014 | On Target Page: Greater Pasco County, Zephyrhills, Republican Party Events

The Grand Opening of the Campaign Headquarters of Danny Burgess, for State House, District 38, was held at Creekside Center, 35358 State Road 54, Zephyrhills, Florida. From the Danny Burgess, for State House, District 38 Website. My name is Danny Burgess and I am a candidate for State House District 38. I am an East Pasco native with a long history of serving our district. I understand firsthand how the decisions made in Tallahassee impact East Pasco. For me, this is not just a district—this is my home. I have a vested personal interest in this community, and believe we deserve a representative who is directly affected by the decisions they make for their district.

I was born and raised in Zephyrhills and attended East Pasco County public schools. I attended college at the University of South Florida and completed my law degree at Barry University School of Law. I currently practice law at Johnson, Auvil, Pratico and Chane, P.A., in Dade City. I serve in the United States Army Reserves as a Judge Advocate and work in our local community as the Mayor of the City of Zephyrhills. I am a life-long member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church on Main Street Zephyrhills. My wife, Courtney, and I recently welcomed our first child, Adeline Belle, into the world in January of this year. The greatest prediction of one’s future behavior is their past behavior, and my past has been molded with a strong desire to serve. My commitment to public service stems from my youth. At the age of eighteen, I was elected to the Zephyrhills City Council as the youngest elected official in the State of Florida as a freshman in college.

I would be honored for the chance to serve as your next State Representative. It is my firm belief that my political experience, work ethic, military service and proven commitment to the public welfare of this community makes me the most qualified candidate for House District 38. There is a strong connection between my experience as a soldier, public servant, and advocate, which I believe will bring a fresh perspective to Tallahassee, if given that opportunity. With a growing family, the decision to run for this position was very prayerfully made. For me, public service is not a career path; it is a chance to be the positive change I want to see in the world.
