Daughter of Founder, Congratulates East & Central Pasco County Habitat for Humanity on 20th Anniversary

Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco County held their 5th Men Bake Charity Event at the 4G Ranch. Prominent men and local celebrities (Senator Wilton Simpson, Sheriff Nocco, and more) bake items at their homes, some from secret family recipes and some might be out of a Betty Crocker box. They bring their baked masterpieces to the event, walk the red carpet, and auction them off . Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco County. At this year's event Habitat will have a very special guest, Georgia Luedi-Fuller.
Georgia literally grew up with Habitat for Humanity and is as old as the ministry itself. She was born at Koinonia Farm in 1971 in Americus, Georgia, where Habitat experienced its humble beginnings initially through Koinonia's "Partnership Housing" program, and then she witnessed its steady growth over the years, from 1976 to the present, "Habitat for Humanity International." Today, Habitat for Humanity is a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing. Georgia thinks very fondly back on her memories of Habitat in its early years in the 1970's and through its time of booming growth in the 1980's and 1990's. She also cherishes her memories of her late father, Millard Fuller, who was not only a mover and a shaker world-wide, but also a wonderful Christian father, mentor, and godly example.

Georgia's all-time favorite thing to do at every single Habitat build was to get on the roof as soon as it was up and stay there as long as possible! She also was moved every time by her father's speeches, and was touched every time she saw his lip quiver and eyes tear up at every house dedication. She is grateful for the awesome privilege of growing up with such a powerful ministry and to see both Habitat and The Fuller Center for Housing still thrive today, even after her dad is physically gone from this world.

"So glad the Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco County, Florida affiliate is carrying on his dream of making sure that families in your area have an opportunity for an affordable, decent place to live" said Georgia....
